MIL-STD-1553 avionics databus interface packaged on a PMC module introduced by DDC

BOHEMIA, N.Y., 10 Aug. 2011. Data Device Corp. (DDC) in Bohemia, N.Y., is introducing introduces the BU-65596F/M DO-254-certifiable MIL-STD-1553 avionics databus packaged as a PCI Mezzanine Card (PMC) for military applications in harsh environments. The 1553 databus PMC card uses DDC’s Enhanced Mini-ACE core packaged as an application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) for reliability, DDC officials say.

The BU-65596F/M avionics interface card supports as many as four MIL-STD-1553 channels, and as many as 16 avionics discrete I/O channels; is software-compatible with the DDC ACE and Enhance Mini-Ace core; meets VITA 47 Class V3 for rugged environments; and is certifiable to DO-254.
