Airbus, Cassidian join Avionics Europe 2012 conference and exhibition

February 20, 2012

NASHUA, N.H., 20 Feb. 2012. Airbus and Cassidian, two key EADS group companies and major players in the airframer and avionics technologies industry that aim to strengthen their authority within the European and global aerospace and avionics market, are participating in Avionics Europe, the premier conference and exhibition dedicated to the commercial and defense avionics industry, held in Munich, Germany, on 21 and 22 March 2012. Under the theme “Common Sky: Operating in One Air Space,” the Avionics Europe 2012 conference will focus on the current and future cockpit avionics and technologies for commercial, civil, and military aircraft and design approaches to grow air traffic in the most safe and efficient ways possible.

“We are delighted to have Airbus return for the 10th anniversary Avionics Europe, following their 2011 sponsorship of the event, and to have Cassidian to take up joint Gold Sponsorship,” says Ernesto Burden, event director for Avionics Europe. “This rapidly growing conference and exhibition delivers the best conference program and learning opportunities in the industry. Its presenters and attendees have established it as the annual gathering place for the avionics professional, from the airlines to the developers, an audience of key importance for Airbus and Cassidian.”

A high-profile opening keynote speech on Wednesday 21 March will see presentations from:

  • Mario Araujo, Director of Engineering, TAP Portugal
  • Michael Steinfurth, Head of CMAC Division, EUROCONTROL
  • Eric Stefanello, EADS representative and Prosky CEO (an Airbus company)

On the exhibition floor, Airbus and Cassidian will share an exhibition booth, strengthening the individual and EADS group brand and displaying some of the leading technologies available to the market. They will be joined by roughly 80 other leading international high-tech companies who will be demonstrating and showcasing some of the latest innovations, research, and solutions in cockpit and ATM technology.

Avionics Europe will be celebrating its 10th anniversary in Munich on 21 and 22 March. It is the industry-leading conference and exhibition and the must attend conference for the avionics professional.
