MONTREAL, 16 April 2012. Officials of business jet expert Bombardier Aerospace in Montreal announced the company's first delivery of the Bombardier Vision Flight Deck on a Global 6000 business aviation jet aircraft. The aircraft will be operated by Wideworld Services Ltd. in Cambridge, England.

The Vision Flight Deck features the Pro Line Fusion avionics suite from Rockwell Collins in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The integrated avionics has four high-resolution 15-inch diagonal active matrix liquid crystal displays (LCD) arranged in a T-shape that work together with the head-up display (HUD).

The avionics suite provides personalized formats of display information, an electronic checklist, maps with graphical flight planning, a cursor control panel, a synthetic-enhanced vision system, paperless operation enabled by dual electronics charts, a Future Air Navigation System (FANS), controller-pilot datalink communication (CPDLC), a Wide Area Augmentation System (WAAS), localizer performance with vertical guidance (LPV) and a MultiScan weather detection system.

The Vision Flight Deck for Global jets received EASA and FAA certification last February, and Transport Canada certification in mid-2011. The Vision Flight Deck is featured on Global 5000 and Global 6000 jets.
