AB Elektronik demonstrates Halosensor sensing technology

Halosensor

FARNBOROUGH, U.K., 9 July 2012. AB Elektronik, the sensor division of TT electronics, presents its latest developments in sensing, including the Halosensor drill targeting system, during the Farnborough International Airshow. The company’s rugged Halosensor product line is designed to locate blind holes, even in complex or curved structures such as aircraft wing assemblies, eliminating the need for drilling pilot holes from the inside and avoiding a major cause of re-work or scrap.

AB Elektronik is showing a selection from its rugged Halosensor range, including the Nano devices that can cope with tighter-radius curved surfaces or places with limited access. The standard range can accurately locate blind holes from 2mm to 100mm.

The company is also demonstrating its range of robotic solutions, which can interface with a customer’s existing manufacturing systems or be designed in to new applications

Group companies Semelab and Welwyn are also presenting sensor solutions designed to solve some of the toughest problems in the aerospace and military sectors.
