Falcon

Dassault Falcon 2000LXS

The Falcon 2000LXS, announced in Oct. 2012, combines the short field performance of the 2000S with the longer range capabilities of the 2000LX. Featuring the same inboard slats and winglets as the 2000S model, the aircraft offers the same landing performance as the Falcon 2000S. The airplane comes standard with the EASy II avionics suite and FalconCabin HD+ entertainment system.

The Falcon 2000S, the entry-level jet in the Falcon family unveiled in May 2011, is equipped with upgraded EASy II avionics, a FalconCabin HD+ entertainment system, and a new fixed-configuration cabin designed by BMW Group Designworks USA.

DO-254

DO-254, Design Assurance Guidance for Airborne Electronic Hardware, is a document published by RTCA Inc. providing guidance for the development of airborne electronic hardware.

DOD

DOD is an acronym – also commonly used with a lower-case “o”, as in DoD – that stands for Department of Defense.

EUROCAE

EUROCAE is an acronym for: European Organization for Civil Aviation Equipment.

GIG

GIG is a common aerospace and defense acronym that stands for: global information grid.

RTOS

RTOS is a common acronym for: real-time operating system. RTOS has been pluralized in two ways, as RTOSs and RTOSes.

UAS

UAS is a common acronym for: unmanned aerial system. UAS is often pluralized as UASs or UASes.

UAV

UAV is a common aerospace and defense acronym for: unmanned aerial vehicle. The pluralized version of UAV is UAVs.
