MONTREAL, QUEBEC, 12 Dec. 2008. CAE won contracts to design and manufacture three full-flight simulators (FFSs) and associated training devices valued at more than $40 million for Saudi Arabian Airlines and the Hua Ou Aviation Training Centre in Beijing, China.

Lockheed Martin, U.S. Air Force Test Pilot School autoland F-16
PALMDALE, Calif., 10 Dec. 2008. Lockheed Martin and the U.S. Air Force Test Pilot School at Edwards Air Force Base, Calif., have demonstrated an autonomous landing of the F-16 Fighting Falcon, marking the first time an F-16 has landed entirely under computer control.

Presagis to support development of Boeing next-generation helicopter simulator
ORLANDO, Fla., 3 Dec. 2008. Boeing selected the Presagis Lyra image generator solution to support the development of the next-generation U.S. Army Apache helicopter simulator (AH-64D) at Boeing's Mesa, Ariz. facility. Boeing will use Lyra in its new Block III Apache Engineering Development Simulator (EDS), the virtual simulation of the Apache weapon system.

Rockwell Collins to acquire visual display provider SEOS
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa, 3 Nov. 2008. Rockwell Collins announced its intent to acquire SEOS, a supplier of highly realistic visual display solutions for commercial and military full flight simulators. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

FSC acquires simulator training center in Dallas/Fort Worth, expands in Europe
OUDE MEER, The Netherlands -- Flight Simulation Company (FSC) in Oude Meeer, The Netherlands, has acquired the four-bay aviation flight simulator training center from Higher Power Aviation in Fort Worth, Texas.
