The BU-67211UX combines as many as two dual redundant MIL-STD-1553 channels with as many as eight user programmable receive-or-transmit ARINC 429 channels, and as many as two user programmable receive-or-transmit ARINC 717 channels.

ORLANDO, Fla., 1 May 2011. GE Intelligent Platforms in Charlottesville, Va., is introducing the ADEPT3000 small automatic miniature video tracker for embedded computing applications such as unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and man-portable devices where size, weight, and power consumption (SWaP) are primary design concerns. GE demonstrated the device this past week at the SPIE Defense, Security, and Sensing conference in Orlando, Fla. The ADEPT3000 provides high-quality single-target tracking with standard-definition analog video signals.

A new panel mount photovoltaic (PV) connector featuring RADSOK technology -- the Helios H4 Panel Connector -- was released by Amphenol Industrial.  The new connector offers higher current ratings and lower contact resistance resulting in lower power losses and is compatible with standard industry connectors.

Curtiss-Wright Controls Embedded Computing is introducing the FMC-516 rugged field-programmable gate array (FPGA) mezzanine card for military applications such as signals intelligence (SIGINT), electronic countermeasures (ECM) and radar that need high-speed A/D converter components as part of a digital receiver. The FMC is a quad channel 250-megasample-per-second 16-bit analog input card that enables systems designers to couple I/O devices directly to a host FPGA to make the most of throughput and synchronizes several channels and boards.

WIXOM, Mich., 17 April 2011. Acromag in Wixom, Mich., is introducing the VPX-VLX series 3U VPX field-programmable gate array (FPGA) single-board computers with configurable Xilinx Virtex-5 FPGA, as well as several high-speed memory buffers and a high-throughput PCI Express interface for signals intelligence, image processing, hardware simulation, and communications applications. I/O interfaces to the FPGA are through the rear P2 connector and via optional front mezzanine plug-in I/O modules. Three models help users choose among logic-optimized FPGAs. AMBLER, Pa., 14 April 2011. MEN Micro Inc. in Ambler, Pa., is introducing the rugged G301 CompactPCI Serial Ethernet switch for mobile communications applications in harsh operating conditions. The board complies with the PICMG CompactPCI Serial standard, and has four Gigabit Ethernet ports via RJ45 or M12 connectors in the front. The U.S. Navy is kicking off a program to develop a carried-based unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) by 2018 with the ability to carry out intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) missions, as well as light attack missions, to support carrier air wing operations. The Naval Air Systems Command at Patuxent River Naval Air Station, Md., on Monday issued a broad agency announcement (N00019-11-R-0031) for the Unmanned Carrier-Launched Airborne Surveillance and Strike (UCLASS) program.

PATUXENT RIVER NAS, Md., 27 March 2011. Navigation and guidance avionics designers at the Boeing Co. Defense, Space & Security segment in St. Louis needed ring laser gyros for the U.S. Navy F/A-18E/F jet fighter-bombers and the and EA-18G electronic warfare aircraft. They found their solution from Honeywell Aerospace in Clearwater, Fla. Boeing is providing the Honeywell ring laser gyros under terms of a $10.6 million contract announced Friday.

SANTA ANA, Calif., 27 March 2011. ITT Interconnect Solutions in Santa Ana, Calif., is introducing a 3D modeling tool that includes the Trinity MKJ series miniature circular connectors for military, aerospace, industrial, and medical applications.
